oscarsBreaking Bad’ movie might just be a thing!Five years on from the original series’ dramatic and bloody end, there might just be a return of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman.News originally broke on November 6 that the acclaimed show’s creator Vince Gilligan is planning a brand new film that will have concrete ties to the same universe, in which aspiring meth “cooks” Walter White and Jesse Pinkman appeared across five seasons from 2008 to 2013. Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston has also confirmed that, yes, a new movie is definitely in the works – and that he’d be up for reprising his role as Walt, too.2019 Oscar Nominations RevealedThe Academy announced its 2019 Oscar nominations early Tuesday morning, with The Favourite and Roma ahead of the pack.Both movies are nominated for best picture for the 91st Academy Awards alongside BlacKkKlansman, Black Panther, Bohemian Rhapsody, Green Book, A Star Is Born and Vice. A Star Is Born and Vice were also dominant in the 2019 Oscar nominations, earning eight, followed by Black Panther with seven, BlacKkKlansman with six and Bohemian Rhapsody and Green Book with five each.Sundance 2019This week marks the launch of the annual Sundance Film Festival, and with it, a whole new slate of independent films. Heavyweight documentaries on Harvey Weinstein and Michael Jackson are among the highlights of this year's film festival. The festival kicks off on Friday as Hollywood hitmakers and indie creators turn up in Park City, Utah, to watch movies and make deals in the snow. Mostly known for indie and up-and-coming filmmakers, Sundance always sees major stars stepping away from the mainstream to flex their quirkier acting muscles.
